·The Country Smoke House offers whole, half and quarter cows, as well as whole and half buffalo that you can reserve with a $200 deposit. It's a great and cost-effective way to stock up your freezer with high quality fresh meat. We start with cattle raised locally on Michigan farms, so we know we're getting quality and can support local famers. When we have enough reservations to use an entire animal, we'll start the process and arrange for the harvesting, hanging and aging of the beef.


We also work with you to figure out what cuts best meet your needs. If you've never purchased meat like this, even a quarter can be a little intimidating given the investment and options. We've got you covered though; our experts will talk you through the process, so you get exactly what you need. We will create a 'Cut Card' that tells our Butchers exactly how to process your beef.


On cut day our team of Butchers get to work, everything done to your specs right here at The Country Smoke House. We'll cut, trim and grind to order before packaging. We choose to wrap using a layer of freezer plastic then freezer paper. Experience has proved this to be the best way to get the longest possible storage in your freezer. We store the packaged meat in our freezer until you can pick up.
