Country Smoke House Southern Style Chicken is a fan favorite because it's both easy to prepare and incredibly versatile. It all starts with premium chicken, seasoned with a blend of traditional Southern Spices then smoked slow and low using natural hardwoods. Our Southern Style Chicken is fully cooked, making it ideal for quick and delicious weekday meals.
In a sauté pan over medium heat add your Southern Style Chicken and about ¾ Cup of water then bring to a simmer. Stir occasionally with tongs to cook evenly. The key here is to bring the chicken to the desired temp without drying it out. As the liquid reduces it will thicken to create a flavorful sauce, continue to stir for evenly coated chicken. Once you have the temperature and consistency you like, remove from heat and serve. Our Southern Style Chicken makes excellent sandwiches, sliders and tacos straight out of the package.
If you want to get creative you can substitute water with anything from stock, white wine or salsa when sautéing to craft any number of dishes. Add some Ole Smokey BBQ Sauce and let it caramelize for a classic BBQ Chicken sandwich, or stir in your favorite salsa and reduce for a Southwestern take.
